CNA Luxury rounds up the best jewellery looks from the 2020 Golden Globes.
The 77th annual Golden Globes kicked off on January 5, 2019 as the biggest names in film and television descended upon the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles for the first awards night of the year. A night for stars to dress to impress, celebrities came decked out in stop-and-stare sparklers that stole the show. See some of the best jewellery looks below.
JENNIFER LOPEZ
Fashion icon JLo, a nominee for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture, took to the red carpet adorning a stunning Harry Winston necklace. The 18K yellow gold and platinum necklace is set with 21 Colombian emeralds and 58 diamonds.
PRIYANKA CHOPRA
Pretty in pink, Priyanka Chopra, who hit the red carpet with husband Nick Jonas, paired her look with jewellery from Bulgari. The platinum necklace is set with more than 56 carats of diamonds.
CYNTHIA ERIVO
Going for an old Hollywood look, British actress Cynthia Erivo was dressed in a custom gown by Thom Browne, which, according to her Instagram, took 800 hours and 11 people to make. Finishing off the look was a 40-carat cabochon centre sapphire necklace from Bulgari.
SCARLETT JOHANSSON
Also in Bulgari was Marriage Story actress Scarlett Johansson. She wore a platinum high jewellery necklace featuring a 4.01-carat round diamond, 81 round diamonds and pave-set diamonds.
AWKWAFINA
Actress and comedian Awkwafina made history as the first Asian to win in a lead actress film category at the Golden Globes. She took home the win in a black ensemble paired with Forevermark Centre of My Universe diamond halo studs, Forevermark Force of Nature diamond brooch, Forevermark Journey diamond ring and Forevermark Millemoi diamond ring.
CHARLIZE THERON
To match her lime green one-shoulder dress by Dior Haute Couture, Charlize Theron mesmerised in a Tiffany Blue Book Collection necklace that featured a centre emerald of over 10 carats. Designed by Tiffany and Co.’s chief artistic officer Reed Krakoff, the necklace also boasts 21 carats of baguette sapphires and over 35 carats of baguette diamonds.
REESE WITHERSPOON
Actress Reese Witherspoon complimented her all-white look with Tiffany & Co.’s Schlumberger® Ribbon Fan Earrings. Her bracelet, also by Tiffany and Co., was inspired by the waning pattern of the lunar cycle, where Tiffany artisans deconstructed the heart and star motifs and re-created them with baguette and round brilliant diamonds. -THEMALAYAPOST
